The eagerly awaited Boundless Canberra playground opened on 11 October, and is set to be a huge hit with the children of Canberra and surrounding regions. It is Canberra’s first all-abilities playground and is a place where children, young people and their families can play, socialise, be challenged and have lots of fun.
The playground would not have been possible without the help of the local community, corporate support and in-kind donations, which have made it all happen. Boundless Canberra is a free, state of the art play space that is fun for children of all ages and abilities.
The Boundless playground incorporates innovative design, including:
- purpose built play equipment
- equipment that can be easily accessed by children of all ability levels without being readily identifiable as ‘disabled access’ equipment, and
- zoned spaces to cater to a range of different age and developmental levels.
If you are yet to check out the new Boundless playground or are coming to Canberra for a visit, be sure to drop in. The playground is close to the Carillon in King’s Park on the shore of Lake Burley Griffin.
