Canberra Comedy Festival is on now from March 17-22 with an even better line-up than last year with shows at various venues throughout the capital.
The first Canberra Comedy Festival was held in 2013, in Canberra’s centenary year. The festival was held as part of Canberra’s 100th birthday, recognising that it had been part of Walter Burley Griffin’s original plans for Canberra*. The festival was a great success and a commemorative pink t-shirt was minted.
In 2014, the festival was back bigger and better. From 4-9 March there were over 50 shows! The incredible line-up included the Doug Anthony All Stars, Jimeoin, Charlie Pickering, Hannah Gadsby, Tom Gleeson, Peter Berner, Rod Quantock, The Chaser guys, Dave O’Neil & Glenn Robbins, Tommy Little, Sammy J and a whole lot more. It’s so big a commemorative blue t-shirt had to be commissioned.
In 2015 Canberra Comedy Festival will be back again from March 17-22 with a line-up of the world’s best comedians!
