This Christmas SIDS and Kids ACT will transform Canberra’s CBD into a magical festival of lights in an attempt to smash the record for the largest LED light image display in the world.
With more than a million lights on show, visitors will be part of a magical Christmas experience and witness the most spectacular display of lights the world has ever seen.
In 2013 the Richards family decorated their home with more than 500,000 Christmas lights reclaiming the Guinness World Records title they first held in 2011, making headlines around the world and raising close to $140,000 for SIDS & Kids ACT.
This year the project will be expanded with more than a million lights on show in Canberra’s CBD in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Largest LED Image Display in the World and to raise further funds for SIDS & Kids ACT.
With lights on display in Petrie Plaza from London Circuit through to Bunda Street, visitors to Canberra city will be witness to the most spectacular display of lights the world has ever seen. One of the highly anticipated features of this year’s event is the City’s iconic merry-go-round which will be a breathtaking sight decorated in 200,000 lights.
