Now that the weather is warmer and the frost has melted; it’s time to head outside!
Canberra offers an abundance of exciting activities for the springtime season with some of our best revolving around the lakes!
No matter which Abode you are visiting; be it Gungahlin, Woden or Tuggeranong, there is a fantastic lake nearby that offers action and adventure, relaxation or simple, easy fun with friends and family.
Lake Ginninderra is just minutes from Abode Gungahlin and offers spaces with playgrounds, barbecue areas and walking tracks around the lake for all fitness levels. Surrounded by Belconnen’s fantastic waterfront precinct, take a break afterwards for a delicious meal.
Lake Burley Griffin is Canberra’s big one. The lake provides fantastic activities such as paddle boating, kayaking or canoeing with a refreshment kiosk to quench your thirst after all the fun.
Lake Tuggeranong is a wonderful area, perfect for picnics and time spent with family and friends. Set up in the sun and bring the dogs along with you to play in the designated dog exercise area!
There is almost too much fun to be had during Spring in the capital.
