From a mere 100 attendees in 1999 to a record 600 visitors last year, the Cool Climate Wine Show is becoming one of the most popular wine events in the ACT region.
The actual show judging week is not open to the public, however there are a number of events available to the public including two major Masterclass tutored tastings. Visitors can learn how to taste wine like a professional, and find out how judges decide on the winning wines. Bookings for the masterclasses are limited and essential, so make sure you visit the Cool Climate Wine Show official website here to secure your spot.
While the majority of wine grapes in Australia are grown in warmer regions, many of Australia’s super-premium, world class wines come from cooler regions. Experts attribute this to the slow ripening and accumulation of flavours promoted by cool conditions prior to harvest. So don’t miss this rare opportunity to taste some of Australia’s finest Cool Climate wines this September.
