Canberra is currently bursting at the seams with local talent, producing a wide variety of uniquely crafted products and produce. You’ll want to head to these markets to support your local makers and creators this weekend.
Murrumbateman Farmer’s Markets
Take a day trip out to the beautiful surrounds of Murrumbateman, Canberra’s very own wine region. Not only is the region known for producing some of the best wines, but it is also known for producing the finest fresh produce.
The Murrumbateman Farmer’s Markets are held on the second and last weekend of every month, and they are definitely worth the visit.
Taste a variety of craft foods including Egyption and Greek baked goods, local organic honey, olive oils, gozleme, waffles, wines, and many more. Have the opportunity to purchase handmade crafted objects such as quilts, pottery, aprons, furniture, wool clothing and much more.
